Coach L was born and raised in the London Borough of Newham, East London. Laurent, who was coached by his late uncle Joe White, for the historic basketball club London Towers, won every major English basketball trophy in competitions he entered over a 6 year- run. At the age of 17 Laurent was recruited by an American High School and awarded a full basketball scholarship at Faith Christian Academy High School in New Jersey U.S.A. After graduating, he received two additional Basketball Scholarships from Polk Community College in Florida and Embry Riddle University in Daytona Beach, FL USA.

Whilst progressing in basketball, he studied business management and graduated with a degree in business. He then returned to London after four years to start his professional basketball career with D1 Club Hackney Interbasket, now known as Hackney White heat, where he was re-united with his inspirational uncle, the late Joe White, for a successful season.

Laurent then signed a two year deal with the BBL Club Milton Keynes Lions, then moved on to the London Leopards for another two year deal. After a season with BBL club London United, Laurent took his talents over to Europe playing 4 successful seasons in Italy with Maccabi Ripalimosani, Benevento and Roma Pamphili, where he Averaged 21 points 10 Rebounds and 5 assist per game.

A 12 year British Professional Basketball Player who played Basketball for over 20 Seasons from 1994 to 2015. His Won Over 50 Trophies as player and a coach. A well known and respected figure in the U.K Basketball circuit. After retiring from playing in 2015, Laurent is going on his 5 straight season as a Coach for London’s only professional basketball club ( The London Lions ) and Head Basketball Coach at Riverside Basketball Academy.

2019/20 Season will be Coach L’s 17th consecutive year in professional basketball. His experience and knowledge of the game has surpassed

FG basketball is a program implemented into schools to support students with behavior, discipline, education and health.
The program has supported over 500 students who have gone onto further education.
Coach L is currently a 5 Year Professional Basketball Coach. Assisting B.B.L legends, Nigel Lloyd and Vince McCarthy to become the 2019 BBL league & Cup Champions.

Coach L has a proven winning track record and highly recognized as an elite basketball development coach.

Coach L is also the head of operations for CST Euro Elite a basketball program based in New York USA. There missions is to provide a unique developmental and progressive system of fitness training that equips kids and young athletes with all the physical, mental and character-building tools necessary to achieve a life of wellness, health and sporting excellence.
